How to Download TikTok Videos on iPhone

Share > Copy link in TikTok, paste into SSSTikT in Safari, tap Download, then open the file and tap Save Video. That's the whole route from TikTok to your camera roll.

The step people miss is the last one. Safari saves downloads to the Files app, not Photos, so the video seems to vanish until you move it.

Before you start

• An iPhone on iOS 13 or later (that's when Safari got its download manager)
• The TikTok app, or tiktok.com open in Safari
• A public video. Private posts can't be downloaded by any outside tool.

No app, no Shortcut, no account.

Copy the link from TikTok

1. Open the video in TikTok.
2. Tap the Share arrow on the right.
3. Tap Copy link.

The link looks like https://www.tiktok.com/@name/video/... or a short vm.tiktok.com/... one. Both work.

Paste it into SSSTikT in Safari

Open the SSSTikT downloader in Safari. Press and hold the input box, tap Paste, then tap the download button.

After a few seconds you'll see the thumbnail and two options:

• MP4 video, without the TikTok watermark
• MP3 audio, only the sound

Confirm Safari's prompt

Tap the MP4 button. Safari asks "Do you want to download...?" Tap Download.

A small arrow appears in the address bar. Tap it to watch progress. A 30-second clip usually finishes in a moment on Wi-Fi.

Move the video from Files to Photos

1. Tap the download arrow in Safari, then tap the file. Or open Files and go to Browse > Downloads.
2. Open the video.
3. Tap the Share icon (the square with an up arrow).
4. Tap Save Video.

It now sits in Photos, ready to trim, share or add to an album. Files and Photos keep separate copies, so you can delete the one in Files to free up space.

Chrome, Firefox or Edge on iPhone

Chrome works, with a slightly different flow. After you tap MP4, a bar appears at the bottom. Tap Open in... and choose Save Video, or Save to Files and move it later.

Firefox and Edge behave like Chrome. If one browser gives you trouble, Safari is the most predictable.

Audio and photo posts on iPhone

• Audio only: use the TikTok to MP3 converter. The file lands in Files too. Play it there, or import it into GarageBand to make a ringtone.
• Slideshow posts: paste them into the TikTok photo downloader. Press and hold each image and choose Save to Photos.

Finding a download that disappeared

Safari saves to iCloud Drive > Downloads by default. You can change that under Settings > Apps > Safari > Downloads (on older iOS, Settings > Safari > Downloads). Pick On My iPhone if iCloud is nearly full, because a full iCloud Drive quietly stalls downloads.

Still can't see it? Open Files and tap Recents. It's almost always at the top.

When Safari won't download

• You're in TikTok's in-app browser. If you opened our site from a link inside TikTok, the button may do nothing. Tap the three dots and choose Open in Safari.
• A content blocker is in the way. Turn it off for this site from the aA menu.
• Storage is full. Check Settings > General > iPhone Storage.
• The video can't be fetched. Private, deleted or region-locked posts show an error. The won't-download guide covers each cause.

On an iPad

iPadOS works the same way. The downloads arrow sits in Safari's toolbar and Files opens in a sidebar layout; everything else above applies.

Can I save TikTok videos straight to Photos?

Not in one step. Safari always saves to Files first, then Save Video copies it into Photos.

Do I need a Shortcut or an app?

No. Safari and the Files app are enough.

Why won't the download button work inside TikTok?

TikTok's built-in browser often blocks file downloads. Open the page in Safari instead.

Is the saved video HD?
